Lexus has celebrated 10 years of its sporty F Line division by applying the magic wand to the RC F and GS F.
The limited-edition RC F and GS F go on sale from September, offering significant styling and underbody provisions.
The RC F is priced from $151,929 plus on-road costs, while the GS F will cost $155,940 plus on-roads – a circa $3000 premium on the equivalent entry cars, but a line-ball price with higher-spec versions already on sale.
Both vehicles will wear a matte Fuji Graphic paint finish, extending to the door handles, wing mirrors, side skirts and antenna. A fresh set of 19-inch polished black alloy wheels are also featured, enclosing blue-painted brake calipers.
There are splashes of obligatory carbon-fibre, too, namely on the car’s roof, and an active rear spoiler has been added.
The styling changes are matched by new dampers that are said to endow the RC F and GS F with a more rigid and sharper handling experience.
There are revisions inside the cabin, too. The front chairs are wrapped in a white-accented, semi-aniline leather and completed with an F logo etched in the headrests. Blue leather also adorns the steering wheel, shift knob, centre console, instrument binnacle and seat belts.
Elsewhere, a familiar black theme permeates the headlining and rear seats, broken up by lashings of blue, black and silver, and commemorative badging.
Things are unchanged under the bonnet, the GS F and RC F employing the same 5.0-litre naturally-aspirated V8 good for 351kW and 520Nm.
“The letter F symbolises a series of Lexus cars that are designed and engineered to deliver a higher level of sporting style and driving reward,” Scott Thompson, Lexus Australia chief executive, said.
“These rare and exclusive versions reinforce that F models are built for drivers to immerse themselves in pure driving pleasure and satisfying performance.”
The limited-edition GS F and RC F officially go on sale September 4.
