Full details and pics of the upgraded 2020 Alfa Romeo Giulia and Stelvio have been released ahead of the global debut of both new models at this week's Los Angeles motor show.
The headline news is the out-dated infotainment system in both models has been banished for an all-new system that finally offers touch-screen functionality and some of the connected services of its rivals.
Featuring a centrally located 8.8-inch display, the new system gets a customisable home screen that can be accessed either by the touch-screen or the existing rotary controller.
Between the dials in the instrument cluster, a new 7.0-inch TFT screen offers drivers more information, including details of the the MY20 Stelvio and Giulia's new autonomous driving aids.
Introducing Level 2 advanced driver assistance aids, both the updated sedan and SUV are capable of accelerating, braking and steering on the highway if the driver keeps their hands on the wheel.
Monitoring signs of drowsiness, a new driver attention assist feature also joins the new tech suite.
Inside the cabin, the car-maker claims both models gain high-grade materials including a new leather-wrapped gear lever, redesigned steering wheel and rotary controller, all of which are said to give a better impression of quality.
The centre console, meanwhile, has been rethought to accommodate a larger, more accessible storage compartment that now incorporates a wireless charger.
Under the bonnet, powertrains for both the Giulia and Stelvio remain unchanged.
In some markets a modest price bump of around $1000 has been reported but that premium is said to be offset by the more generous level of standard equipment.
There's no word yet on pricing, specifications or a local arrival date for the 2020 Giulia and Stelvio.
