Motorsport fans will be able to relive the glory days of Australian touring car racing next month when the HSRCA Sydney Classic returns to Eastern Creek for two days of high-octane classic car racing.
Headlined by muscle car monsters from the Group C, Group A, Group N and Australian 5-Litre Touring Car eras, the June 11-12 meeting will see iconic Bathurst heavyweights such as the Ford Sierra RS500, BMW 635CSi, Nissan Skyline GT-R and a variety of Holden Commodores and Toranas, Ford Falcons and Mustangs, Jaguars and many more go head-to-head.
All of this high-horsepower action will be backed by support events featuring MG Racing Australia cars as well as winged specials from the Group Q, O and M Sports and Racing Cars, Group J, K and L, Group S, Formula Vee and Ford, Regularity and Super Sprint classes.
“Historic motorsport is all about the cars and the community, and so the HSRCA welcomes spectators to get up close to the cars, meet their drivers and custodians and get involved,” organisers said in a statement.
“After enjoying the racing track-side, take a wander through the pits and paddock to enjoy the magnificent display of motorsport history and have a chat with the people who run and support them.”
Tickets to the event are available both online (via Eventbrite) and at the gate, and while proof of COVID-19 vaccination isn’t required for entry, spectators are encouraged to social distance and follow good hygiene practices.
