2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS teased

The official teaser campaign for the facelifted 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS has begun ahead of its world debut later today (April 4).

Posting a shadowy glimpse of its upgraded flagship SUV on its Twitter account, the German premium brand said the 2023 Mercedes-Benz GLS was in store for a “new look, new software and equipment changes”.

Zooming in on the shadowy image and it looks like the extra-large seven-seat SUV will bring a pair of headlights that look near identical to the current model’s, suggesting the visual tweaks will be on the mild side.

Inside, the GLS cabin will carry over largely unchanged with its dual 12.3-inch multimedia screens, although they will run on the car-maker's latest-generation software.

Introduced back in 2020, the current X167-series Mercedes GLS is now in its third generation and is offered in Australia with either the 270kW 3.0-litre inline turbo-petrol six (GLS 450 4MATIC) or a 243kW 2.9-litre inline turbo-diesel six (GLS 400d 4MATIC).

There’s also the bahnstorming Mercedes-AMG GLS 63, powered by AMG’s twin-turbo 4.0-litre petrol V8, and the range-topping Mercedes-Maybach GLS 600.

Updated versions of those models are yet to be teased, but it's thought that updated AMG and Maybach versions of the GLS will be revealed in coming months.

Mercedes-Benz is expected to reveal all tonight in Europe.
