Cupra Australia’s small hatch range has been expanded by the addition of a new style- and value-driven special-edition called the 2024 Cupra Leon V Tribe Edition.
Priced from $47,888 drive-away, the Tribe Edition is $1302 cheaper than its donor vehicle despite its cosmetic extras and apparently improved standard equipment list.
You’ll spot the newcomer by its unique black and copper 18-inch wheels, black spoiler extension and dark aluminium side skirts.
Inside the cabin are blue-coloured, power-adjustable, heated and Nappa leather-trimmed front seats with driver’s memory function, a ‘petrol blue’ dashboard, dark alloy pedals and a nine-speaker Beats premium sound system.
The rest of the Tribe Edition’s standard kit lists reads the same as the regular Leon V’s and includes LED headlights, 12-inch infotainment system with smartphone mirroring, 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster, keyless entry, tri-zone climate control, heated steering wheel, ambient lighting and adaptive cruise control.
The same is true of the special Leon’s 140kW/320Nm 2.0-litre four-cylinder turbo-petrol engine and seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission.
Cupra Australia director Ben Wilkes said the Tribe Edition “delivers additional exclusive highlights and features to complement the purist dynamics” of the Leon V.
Wilkes said more special-editions will be rolled out as Cupra Australia prepares for the reveal and subsequent arrival of the facelifted Leon and its Formentor crossover sibling.
