2025 Audi RS e-tron GT Performance teased

New EV flagship based on Porsche Taycan Turbo GT anticipated with incoming Audi e-tron GT facelift

Audi has shown off prototypes of the upcoming facelifted 2025 Audi e-tron GT, which is expected to be headlined by an RS e-tron GT Performance flagship.

Just as the related Porsche Taycan has received a substantial facelift this year – headlined by the new supercar-slaying 815kW Taycan Turbo GT – Audi is believed to be readying its own version to top the high-performance e-tron GT electric sedan range, which is currently led by the 440kW RS e-tron GT.

Looking beyond the intriguing promotional wrap on the prototypes, we can see enlarged intakes, a wider grille, redesigned front bumper, new rear diffuser and what looks to be a carbon-ceramic braking package behind the aggressive aero wheels.

That’s enough to suggest that the facelifted e-tron GT will offer a new Performance hero model, albeit one that’s perhaps not quite as rabid as the Porsche Taycan Turbo GT.

Official details on the e-tron GT facelift are thin on the ground, however the updated Taycan is an obvious reference point with its bigger batteries (105kWh), 60-140kW power boosts and 10-80 per cent DC charging times of just 18 minutes.

Audi’s press information also mentions an updated cabin design, but there isn’t any accompanying imagery for that claim.

The global reveal for the updated e-tron GT shouldn’t be too far away and an Australian launch is anticipated in the final quarter of this year or early in 2025.
