The 2025 BMW Speedtop Concept has been leaked ahead of its official debut at Italy’s Villa d’Este classic car festival this weekend, revealing a stunning two-door shooting brake wagon based in the 2024 Skytop Concept.
Leaked on Instagram by @cardesignworld, the latest show car looks like it draws its inspiration from the wild Z3-based BMW M Coupe (1997 to 2002) and the Z4 Coupe that came later.
It’s not the first time BMW has toyed with an M Coupe or Z3 Coupe revival. Back in 2023, the Bavarian car-maker made a one-off Touring Coupe based on its Z4.
While the Touring Coupe was never produced, BMW has already hinted it might make a limited run of the new Speedtop Concept that will follow the 50 BMW Skytop roadsters the Bavarian firm is producing.
Like the Skytop, the Speedtop will almost certainly come with the same twin-turbocharged 4.4-litre V8. Kicking out a mighty 460kW and 740Nm of torque, the output should see the two-door wagon sprint to 100km/h in around 3.0 seconds.
Within, the latest images reveal how it will share cabins with the Skytop and come with cream leather seats, the lighter tone contrasting with a dark rose-coloured leather for the dash, steering wheel, centre console and the top of the door cards.
Behind the front seats are two leather-lined storage bins, while the wagon shape provides for a large boot that houses tailor-made luggage.
Stay tuned as more details and official images are expected to be released this weekend, following the BMW Speedtop’s debut at this year’s Concorso d'Eleganza Villa d'Este classic car fest.
