General Motors has unveiled yet another large battery-electric SUV in the form of the all-new 2025 Cadillac Vistiq.
Going on sale in the US in the second half of 2025, the Cadillac Vistiq will sit above the 2024 Cadillac Lyriq that will spearhead Caddy’s Australian revival next year.
It fills the gap between Vistiq and the giant Escalade IQ.
Full details have yet to be released, however Cadillac’s latest EV has more conventional rear-end styling than the Lyriq we’ll get Down Under because it needs to house a third row of seats.
The design team has still managed to incorporate the weird split tail-lights that look inspired by the bigger-still Escalade.
There’s no information yet on powertrains, but the Vistiq will be based on GM’s proprietary BEV3 platform and will feature the US auto giant’s latest Ultium battery.
The ‘600 E4’ badging suggests it will come with a development of the Lyriq’s dual-motor/all-wheel drive powertrain that produces 373kW and 610Nm of torque.
Like the Lyriq, we expect a battery size of around 102kWh and for it to be capable of covering around 500km before needing to recharge.
A more affordable 255kW rear-drive version may also be offered.
Inside, expect the Vistiq to adopt its smaller sibling’s huge 33-inch 9K-resolution digital display and carry similar headline features such as an AKG 19-speaker audio, Nappa leather trim, tri-zone climate control, heated front and rear seats, ventilated and massaging front seats, a panoramic fixed-glass roof, intersection automatic emergency braking and trick adaptive headlights.
There’s no word yet on whether GM has any plans to import anything larger than the Lyriq to Australia yet.
