The 2025 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 ZR2 is now more expensive following a price rise of $3500 in line with the heavy-duty MY25 Chevrolet Silverado 2500 HD.
Now priced from $141,500 plus on-road costs, the off-road focused truck doesn’t get any extra equipment or upgrades to offset its new sticker price, not has GMSV provided an official explanation.
As such, the ZR2 still ships with 18-inch rims wrapped with large 33-inch mud-terrain rubber, front and rear locking differentials, trick Multimatic DSSV dampers, a steel front bumper, extended wheel arches and a gloss black raised bonnet.
The familiar black and grey leather seats, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, 13.4-inch infotainment touchscreen, colour head-up display, digital rear-view mirror, ‘Bed View’ camera and adaptive cruise control are all present too.
As before, the ZR2’s 6.2-litre V8 produces 313kW/624Nm and drives all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission.
The good news is the entry-level Silverado 1500 LTZ Premium carries over last year’s pricing and still costs $130,500 plus on-roads.
For those who tow, both the rugged Silverado 1500 ZR2 can haul up to 4200kg while the LTZ Premium can pull an even more impressive 4500kg.
