2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N DK Edition shown in Japan

Hyundai has debuted the first special edition of its pioneering Ioniq 5 N at the Tokyo Auto Salon in the form of the drift-happy DK Edition.

Sitting 15mm lower to the ground on specially tuned H&R springs, the 2025 Hyundai Ioniq 5 N DK Edition dons a suite of unique visual and chassis upgrades to make it even lairier and more tail-happy than the standard car.

The new springs  work in tandem with a carbon-fibre splitter, swan-neck rear wing, diffuser and side skirts to makes the track-ready crossover more stable at the limit while a set of 21-inch forged alloy wheels shave more than 10kg off the kerb weight.

The new hoops are also half an inch wider (21x10) than standard in the name of stability and hide six-piston monobloc front brake callipers said to provide more feel, fade-resistance and stopping power, complemented at the rear by the standard stoppers fitted with uprated pads.

No changes have been made to the 478kW/780Nm dual-motor powertrain or 84kWh battery pack, however the Ioniq 5 N’s signature orange exterior trim strips have been replaced by Jade Green – DK’s signature colour – versions, matching the colour of the new brakes.

The ensemble is rounded out by black ‘DK Edition’ decals on the rear haunches that let the world know exactly what it’s looking at.

At this stage the special edition has only been confirmed for Korea and Japan, however Hyundai Australia is working to expand the number of N Performance parts available here for local customers.

Predictably no official performance or range figures have been announced for the DK Edition, but there’s no doubt all that aero will have sapped the cruising range down from the standard car’s 448km WLTP.
