KGM – formerly known as SsangYong – has revealed a hybrid version of its latest Actyon medium SUV some 12 months after the global debut of the internal combustion version.
Looking pretty much identical to the recently released turbo-petrols, the 2025 KGM Actyon Hybrid follows in the wheel tracks of the previously seen Torres Hybrid which was confirmed for Australia back in March and currently on track to arrive in the fourth quarter of this year alongside the Torres EVX.
KGM Australia has confirmed to carsales the electrified Actyon, along with the Musso EV lifestyle ute, will arrive here in the first quarter of 2026.
The Actyon Hybrid's powertrain is identical to the one found in the Torres Hybrid and pairs a 112kW/280Nm, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine with a 130kW electric motor and 1.83kWh lithium iron phosphate battery.
A six-speed ‘e-DHT’ automatic transmission sends power to the front wheels.
The combination yields a claimed combined fuel consumption of 6.7 litres per 100km – marginally higher than the equivalent Torres Hybrid (6.6L/100km) despite its sleeker profile.
Based on what we can see in Korea, odds are the Actyon Hybrid will come here in just one version and sit atop the current two-pronged range which currently comprises the turbo-petrol K50 ($47,000 drive-away) and K60 ($50,000 d/a).
Standard equipment should include 20-inch alloy wheels, adaptive cruise control, quilted leather upholstery, a solar-glass sunroof, hands-free tailgate, a 12.3-inch infotainment system, digital instrument cluster, sat-nav and over-the-air updates.
