2025 Nissan Patrol gets a heap of new tech

Beloved 4x4 gets Nissan’s latest infotainment system and a heap of other goodies for 2025

The venerable, bordering on ancient, Y62 Nissan Patrol has been given another technology update, this time a complete overhaul, for the 2025 model year.

New to all variants, including the Premcar-prepped Warrior, is Nissan’s latest 12.3-inch infotainment system, perched at the top of the dash and in turn forced a total redesign of the centre stack.

If you can’t be bothered reaching across to the touchscreen, there’s a BMW iDrive-style control module and shortcut buttons behind the shifter on the centre console, with a third set of controls integrated into the updated steering wheel.

The 4x4 controls meantime have been moved to the front of the console, in front of a seemingly shortened cupholder compartment.

The new infotainment system brings a raft of extra goodies including wireless Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, satellite navigation and a wireless charging pad – all of which help keep the Patrol in the same postcode as the LandCruiser 300 Series in terms of tech.

Other enhancements include a configurable 7.0-inch driver’s display, Navara-sourced off-road monitor, and, for the Ti-L, a 13-speaker Bose sound system, new centre console cool box and a digital rearview mirror.

The 2025 Nissan Patrol will also be available with a new choice of interior colourways: black or chestnut, each completed by corresponding woodgrain highlights and quilted leather upholstery.

No changes have been made to the charismatic 5.6-litre V8 lurking under the bonnet, nor the seven-speed automatic transmission or full-time 4x4 system it operates through, but there have been changes to the big rig’s retail prices.

The base Ti now starts from $90,600 plus on-road costs – up $1340 – while the more luxurious Ti-L opens at $102,100 (+$140).

The rock-crushing Warrior meantime carries a revised starting price of $105,660, marking an increase of just $140 despite all the extra equipment.

All Patrols are covered by Nisan’s market-leading 10-year/300,000km factory warranty.

How much does the 2025 Nissan Patrol cost?
Ti – $90,600 (+$1340)
Ti-L – $102,100 (+$140)
Warrior – $105,660 (+$140)
* Prices exclude on-road costs
