Renault Australia has updated its Trafic work van for 2025 with a series of comfort, convenience and safety upgrades, the latter of which have nabbed it a ‘Gold Star Commercial Van’ rating from ANCAP.
Starting with the safety enhancements, the 2025 Renault Trafic now brandishes driver attention and drowsiness warnings, pedestrian and cyclist detection for the autonomous emergency braking, a QR rescue code and a new ‘ADAS’ button providing a shortcut to the relevant menus and settings.
Other range-wide upgrades include the adoption of automatic LED headlights, tyre pressure monitoring, steel bulkhead with a glazed window, new badging and a fold-down table integrated into the back of the middle seat – accessed when the seat is stowed.
Premium models gain a 7.0-inch driver’s display, LED cabin lighting, half-painted rear bumper and painted tail-light column while the Lifestyle versions nab painted side body mouldings, a fully painted rear bumper and rear under-seat storage.
No changes have been made to the 125kW/380Nm 2.0-litre turbo-diesel engine or underpinnings of the new model, meaning all its previous capabilities have been retained.
“June is historically the biggest month of the year for commercial vehicle sales and, demonstrating our commitment to the Australian market, we have introduced a number of changes to the MY25 Renault Trafic line-up,” Renault Australia general manager Glen Sealey said.
Prices have predictably increased however, with the range now starting from $49,490 plus on-road costs for the SWB Pro manual and topping out at $63,490 for the LWB Crew Lifestyle automatic.
