2025 Toyota C-HR+ EV with 600km range unwrapped

The 2025 Toyota C-HR+ has been unveiled and confirmed for a launch in Europe in late 2025, potentially opening the door for the small electric SUV’s debut in Australia.

Confirmed to be one of six new EVs introduced in Europe by the end of 2026, the new C-HR+ will be offered with both front- and all-wheel drive powertrains while the most efficient versions will cover up to 600km on a single charge.

Despite sharing its nameplate with the current hybrid-powered small SUV, the Toyota C-HR+ shares little beneath the skin and is actually longer (+160mm), wider (+40mm), taller (+37mm) and rides with a longer 2750mm wheelbase (+110mm), liberating more space within.

The underlying platform is the Toyota’s purpose-built e-TNGA EV architecture which houses a variety of different powertrains.

The base models for instance will come with a 123kW e-motor and a 57.7kWh battery pack which combine for a 455km cruising range, whereas the mid-range offerings get a 165kW motor and bigger 77kWh battery yielding a 600km range.

If you want all-wheel drive, Toyota will offer a powerful dual-motor version of the C-HR+ that produces 252kW and goes from 0-100km/h in 5.2 seconds, albeit at the expense of range: 525km.

DC fast-charging can be done at up to 150kW while the maximum AC power is 22kW.

The C-HR+ will get battery pre-conditioning as standard, plus an energy-saving heat pump for the climate control.

Designed to sit in Toyota's line-up above the new Urban Cruiser, the C-HR+ is likely for Australia but has yet to be confirmed.
