2025 Toyota Kluger hit with price rises across the range

The 2025 Toyota Kluger has been hit by price rises of up to $1490, with the entry seven-seat Kluger GX now costing $60,290 plus on-road costs (ORCs) from the beginning of this month.

Blaming “increased costs and inflationary pressures both here and overseas”, all Toyota Klugers sold in Australia are made at the Japanese brand’s Indiana plant in the US.

The mid-range Kluger GXL now costs $71,930 plus ORCs, $1490 more than before, while the flagship Kluger Grande is now $84,048 plus ORCs, an increase of $1220 over the pre-June 1 increase.

With no changes despite the price rises, all Toyota Klugers come with a 2.5-litre four-cylinder petrol-electric engine that produces 184kW but is said to average 5.6L/100km.

Like before, a CVT automatic transmission and all-wheel drive is standard on even the entry model.

Helping offset some of the price rise, the MY25 Kluger now comes with a new tyre pressure monitoring system on all grades, while the GX and mid-spec GXL bag a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster that was previously only available on the flagship Grande.

Sales of Toyota Klugers in the first four months of 2025 were down 24.8 per cent, with Toyota selling 2125 cars.

It’s thought the decision to withdraw the cheaper petrol-only versions of the Kluger have impacted sales.
