2025 Toyota LandCruiser prices rise

Up to $2000 price hike for Toyota’s tough flagship SUV as more tech is added - but no visual updates

The 2025 Toyota LandCruiser 300 Series has been given its first update since debuting three years ago, with the rugged off-roader now priced from $97,990 plus on-road costs.

That marks a $999 increase for the base model, while the range-topping variants jump by as much as $2029.

Entry-level LandCruiser GX gets an 8.0-inch touch-screen that now supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto plus over-the-air updates

In return, Toyota’s large SUV gains fresh tech and extra standard features - though visual changes are notably absent.

Sales of the Toyota LC300 are expected to bounce back as the MY25 LandCruiser 300 Series flows into dealerships, following the Nissan Patrol's dominance of the segment for the past quarter.

The entry-level LandCruiser GX now gets an eight-inch infotainment screen running Toyota’s latest software. While an inch smaller than the previous system, it now supports wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, plus over-the-air updates.

Ahead of the driver is a new seven-inch digital instrument cluster, replacing the older analogue dials and 4.2-inch display. The GX also picks up power-adjustable steering column, LED cabin lighting, and reverse camera guidelines as standard.

New safety gear now included across the range includes lane centring assist, emergency steering assist, and emergency driving stop assist. The mid-tier GXL also gains exit assist and low-speed reverse AEB, boosting its credentials.

Toyota Connected Services has been expanded, with the myToyota phone app now able to remotely control the climate control system. However, the complimentary access period has been reduced to 12 months, down from the previous three years.

Tech upgrades for the LC300 arrive for the model year 2025

The GXL, now priced from $102,510 (+$2029), gets a solid upgrade with four-zone climate control, a cooled centre console, faux suede seat upholstery, eight-way power front seats with lumbar support, and a 40/20/40 folding second row.

Move up to the VX, which now costs $122,510 (+$1509), and you’ll find a slick 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster paired with an equally large 12.3-inch central infotainment touchscreen.

Importantly, models with the larger infotainment display retain physical climate control buttons, after feedback from owners who disliked the screen-only setup in higher trims. However, physical shortcut buttons for the infotainment system have now been removed in favour of touch-only controls.

Additional updates include swapping out the CD/DVD player for an HDMI port in VX, Sahara, GR Sport, and Sahara ZX grades.

Dual zone automatic climate control

To help offset the price increase, the VX now shares the eight-way passenger seat adjustment and powered tailgate with the upper-tier models - features previously reserved for the Sahara, GR Sport, and Sahara ZX.

Aside from the updated infotainment and digital cluster, the top-spec variants carry over largely unchanged, although the GR Sport now features puddle lamps for the tailgate.

Coolie box keeps drinks chilled

Under the bonnet, there are no mechanical changes. The LandCruiser 300 Series continues with its 3.3-litre twin-turbo diesel V6, producing 227kW and 700Nm, matched to a 10-speed automatic transmission and full-time four-wheel drive.

Braked towing capacity remains at 3500kg, and Toyota claims a combined fuel consumption of 8.9L/100km.

The 2025 LandCruiser is available in nine exterior colours, although Saturn Blue metallic has been dropped from the palette. Updated models are on sale now across Australia.
