Deliveries of the 2025 Zeekr 7X will finally begin on October 15, with the Chinese carmaker revealing 2000 Aussie have pre-ordered its Tesla Model Y antagonist since order books opened last month. Confirming test drives start the week prior, Zeekr Australia has committed to delivering all 2000 units by the end of the year.
The 2025 Zeekr 7X is on track to be one of the fastest-selling EVs in Australia when deliveries begin next month, with half of the current order bank filled in the first seven days of pre-orders.
After confirming all 2000 orders will be satisfied before the end of this year, Zeekr has now announced it is working with its Chinese factory to secure additional supply to satisfy demand.
Priced from $57,900 plus on-road costs, three variants of the Zeekr 7X are being offered Down Under: the base RWD, the $63,900 Long Range RWD and the Performance AWD that costs $73,900.
The base model features a 75kWh LFP power pack and a 310kW/440Nm electric motor on the rear axle.
The Long Range RWD scores the same drive unit but ups the ante with a 100kWh NCM battery shared with the flagship.
Off the line, the base version sprints from 0-100km/h in a claimed 6.0 seconds while the 475kW/770Nm dual-motor Performance AWD takes just 3.8-seconds.
As for range, the base model will cover up to 480km on a full charge, the Long Range up to 615km and the Performance up to 543km – all recorded on the WLTP test cycle.
Zeekr Australia had previously announced it was targeting 400-500 monthly sales for the 7X per month, meaning the model is already performing well and truly above expectations.
Even in a now crowded electric mid-size SUV segment, it’s admirable how the 2026 Zeekr 7X has managed to make a sales impression so early.
Better still, from our first drive in China, it seems when the first batch of right-hand drive 7Xs arrive Down Under, owners should come away impressed by its decent drive, cabin packed with premium features, while appreciating some of the fastest charging speeds out there, if you have access to a DC fest-charger that is.
