The 2025 Zeekr MIX all-electric minivan has been unveiled ahead of its launch in China later this month.
Based on the Geely Group’s SEA-M architecture, the MIX measures 4688mm long and sits on a stretched 3008mm wheelbase that liberates loads of space within for the five occupants.
Inside, there’s plenty of versatility with the front driver and passenger seat able to swivel up to 270 degrees and transform the luxury people mover into a lounge… and even into a yoga studio.
Designed to sit below the flagship Zeekr 009, the MIX has been created to be a natural rival to the Volkswagen ID.Buzz, albeit with more luxurious features like heated and ventilated massaging rear seats.
The MIX also bags a panoramic glass roof and a 21-speakers sound system with Dolby Atmos, a centre console fridge (rear), augmented reality head-up display, a 13-inch digital instrument cluster and a 15-inch OLED infotainment touchscreen.
One of the MIX’s USPs are its double sliding doors that provide a 1.48-metre-wide entrance that, combined with a low floor, is said to provide easy access for young children and the elderly.
Enabling those doors to be capable of sliding wide open, the Zeekr MIX gets hidden dual B-pillar design that features ultra-high strength steel pillars embedded within each door that are said to be up to 30 per cent stronger than normal pillars.
Boosting manoeuvrability is high-angle steering system than can turn the front wheels more than 50 degrees, yielding a turning radius of around five metres.
The MIX features an 800V electrical architecture and is offered with two batteries that include a 76kWh lithium-iron-phosphate unit (up to 550km) and a bigger 102kWh nichel manganese cobalt set-up good for up to 700km on the CLTC test cycle.
Driving the rear wheels is a rear-motor outputting 310kW/440Nm of torque that launches it from 0-100km/h in just 6.8 seconds.
The Zeekr MIX has yet to be confirmed for Australia but the Geely-owned has brand has already locked in the X compact SUV for release later this year, followed by the 7X SUV that will arrive in 2025.
The larger Zeekr 009 MPV will also be offered Down Under… eventually.
