The 2026 Chevrolet Corvette has been given an interior makeover, with a new driver-centric cockpit comprising a trio of displays and connected services for the first time, albeit for a hefty price increase to match.
That new cockpit comprises a 12.7-inch central display, larger 14-inch digital instrument cluster and, to the right of it, a 6.6-inch screen to display additional driving information from the ‘Vette’s Performance Traction Management System.
At the bottom of the smallest display is a dedicated switch to offer one-touch access to things like the new PTM Pro mode, which switches off the electronic stability and traction controls while leaving ABS on to minimise vehicle intervention.
Chevrolet says all three screens feature sharper colours and improved functionality.
Elsewhere, the drive mode selector has been refreshed and is now positioned in line with the gear selector, while new display designs and animations with sharper graphics for Tour, Sport and Track drive modes feature.
A wireless phone charging pad is now positioned below the centre touchscreen and comes with a cover to keep devices held in place.
Smaller touches include an enlarged and illuminated volume control dial and repositioned climate control buttons (so a grab handle could be integrated for the passenger), plus the addition of a new USB-C port and ambient lighting.
The Corvette’s ‘Enhanced Performance Data Recorder’ has also been given a refresh, with side-by-side video analysis and coaching with real-time performance insights now available via the centre screen.
The Performance App (previously exclusive for E-Ray variants) is now available for all variants with improved capability, and the Corvette has become the first GMSV vehicle to nab Chevrolet Connected Services, with an eight-year complimentary trial period.
It brings Google-powered control to the cabin, remote commands, vehicle location and diagnostic info, as well as the ability to run over-the-air (OTA) updates.
As for the line-up, the Stingray 3LT remains available in Coupe ($222,990 plus ORCs) and Convertible ($232,990 plus ORCs) forms, but the entry-level 2LT is now coupe-only and starts from $193,990 plus on-road costs, increasing the entry into the MY26 Corvette range by almost $12,000.
Elsewhere, the track-ready Z06 has been culled, making the hybrid E-Ray the new flagship.
The MY26 Chevrolet Corvette is on sale now, however, those wanting a track-ready version of the US brand’s supercar will lament the loss of the hot Z06 and its raucous 5.5-litre flat-plane crank V8.
