GM Australia has announced a collector’s edition version of its Corvette Z06 supercar in celebration of the brand’s first Bathurst 12 Hour campaign. Limited to just 12 units and yet to be priced, the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 Bathurst 12 Hour Specialty Edition arrives as the road-legal version of Chev’s Bathurst-ready Z06 GT3.R – the bad news? It’s also the only way to get your hands on a new Z06 this year.

If you wanted to get into a brand-new track-ready MY26 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 this year, you’ll only have 12 opportunities, and you can’t even choose your own colour because they all look the same.
All 12 examples of the Z06 Bathurst 12 Hour Specialty Edition due for Australia and New Zealand will come in Chev’s Switchblade Silver hue with carbon flash painted exterior accents.
A carbon fibre roof and carbon aero package also feature, along with exclusive B12hr decals, a Mount Panorama track layout graphic on the rear guards, and black forged ‘Spider’ (staggered 20- and 21-inch) wheels wrapped in Michelin Pilot Sport Cup 2R tyres.
Based on the Z06 3LZ – which is currently unavailable in Australia – the fitment of a Z07 Performance Package (previously optional) sees the special edition supercar nab magnetic selective ride control dampers and beefy performance Brembo brakes with blue calipers.

Speaking of, hopefully you like blue because the interior colour scheme consists of Jet Black and Santorini Blue. Sports seats clad in Nappa leather contrast with blue seatbelts, while carbon fibre trim elements also feature within the cabin.
The Z06’s naturally aspirated 5.5-litre flat-plane crank petrol eight-cylinder goes untouched, good for 475kW/595Nm.
Meanwhile, all 12 units will come with individually numbered build plates (including special Bathurst 12 Hour plates on both door jambs) remind you this isn’t just another Z06 and you can dress the part too, because you’ll get a free Corvette Racing merchandise pack as well as a custom Bathurst artwork.
Pricing for the limited edition ‘Vette is yet to be announced and there’s no word on when deliveries will take place.
Last October, prices for the updated supercar range increased by as much as $26,000, when the entry-level drop-top Stingray 2LT was cut and extra tech was added across the remaining line-up.
