The 2026 Cupra Raval has finally surfaced in production form, packing up to 165kW of power and a maximum range of about 450km (WLTP) when it launches Down Under later this year.

Cut from the same cloth as the upcoming Skoda Epiq and VW ID.Polo, the Raval is underpinned by the Volkswagen Group’s MEB Small architecture and will ship exclusively with single-motor powertrains based around either a 38kWh or 52kWh battery pack.
Local details are still few and far between, but the larger powerpack is good for up to 446km based on overseas specs while the most powerful version (168kW/290Nm) will launch from 0-100km/h in a claimed 6.8 seconds.
DC fast charging (<105kW) will supposedly yield a 10-80 per cent top-up in 23 minutes.

Equipment highlights across the range include a 10.25-inch digital cockpit, a 12.9-inch infotainment system, regen paddles, bucket seats, keyless entry and start, smartphone projection and a 441-litre boot.
The halo VZ trim’s performance chops will be further enhanced via the inclusion of an electronic limited slip differential, 19-inch wheels, sticky tyres and adaptive dampers.
According to Cupra Australia’s website, the Raval will be released locally later this year, however an exact timeline or spec sheet is yet to be published.
Direct rivals for the 4046mm light hatch are few and far between Down Under, though its archrival globally would have to be the Alpine A290.
Other possible contenders include the Abarth 500e, Renault 5, GWM Ora, MINI Cooper and MG4.
