Pricing and local specifications of the 2026 Kia EV4 sedan have been announced, with the all-new electric small car starting from $49,990 (plus on-road costs) and available from launch in three variants.

As per the related Kia EV3, all EV4’s are powered by a 150kW/283Nm electric motor on the front axle, drawing current from either a 58.3kWh ‘standard range’ battery pack or an 81.4kWh ‘long range’ unit.
The former provides a range of up to 456km on a full charge, while the others are good for up to 612km.
However, unlike the EV3, the EV4 isn’t being offered with an Air Long Range variant – largely due to declining passenger-car sales.
Standard equipment highlights on the Air include 17-inch alloy wheels, two-tone cloth upholstery, LED exterior lighting, adaptive cruise control, a two-spoke steering wheel, a 12.3-inch digital cockpit, dual-zone climate control, a 12.3-inch infotainment system – with wireless phone projection, satnav, over the air updates and DAB digital radio – playing through a six-speaker sound system.

The mid-range Earth adds 19-inch alloys, power-adjustable driver’s seat, cloth and artificial leather upholstery, premium mesh headrests, heated front seats, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, and of course the bigger battery pack.
At the top of the three, the GT-Line scores a unique exterior design treatment, remote smart park assist, a head-up display, artificial upholstery, ventilated premium relations seats with power-adjustment for the passenger and memory function for the driver, sunroof, powered tailgate, a heated three-spoke steering wheel, express windows all-round, a wireless phone charger, eight-speaker Harman/Kardon sound system and ambient lighting.
All EV4s come with vehicle-to-load (V2L), 350kW fast-charging capabilities, five drive modes, a mountain of active and passive safety features, ride on locally-tuned multi-link rear suspension and are covered by a seven-year/unlimited-kilometre warranty (eight years/160,000km for the battery).

With the sedans now in-country, some will be asking where the equivalent EV4 hatch is, and the answer is not here yet.
Kia Australia hasn’t confirmed the hatch for our market yet, but all evidence points to the five-door arriving in the second half of the year.
