The 2026 Kia EV9 GT has been priced for Australia, where it’s set to arrive “imminently” as the most potent and most luxurious version of the Korean brand’s electric family SUV.

Kia’s answer to high-performance electric family SUVs like the BMW iX and Polestar 3 will undercut both on price, with the EV9 GT starting from $129,250 plus on-road costs – around $10,000 less than its key rivals.
Full specifications are yet to be announced, however, expect the range-topping dual-motor EV to output 374kW/740Nm and deliver up to 510km of EV range from its 99.8kWh battery pack.

The GT joins an established trio of variants, including the rear-drive Air, and the all-paw Earth and GT-Line. The latter pair use the same 99.8kWh battery pack as the GT, while the single-motor Air uses a smaller 76.1kWh battery good for a claimed 443km of range.
Unusually, the GT’s 510km range represents a 5km increase compared to the GT-Line’s quoted 505km range, and it’s not far off the Earth’s 521km.
Standard equipment includes adaptive dampers that’ve been put through Kia’s local ride and handling program, unique gloss black 21-inch alloy wheels, a digital LED grille and relaxation seats for the second row.

Kia says full equipment details will be announced soon.
Originally slated for an early-2025 arrival, the EV9 GT was delayed as the brand focused on launching key models like the EV3 small SUV and EV5 mid-sizer.
