The covers have come off the 2026 Lamborghini Urus SE Performante; the fastest, most powerful and aggressive iteration of the Raging Bull’s sole SUV model to date. Its twin-turbocharged 4.0-litre V8 plug-in hybrid powertrain outputs 596kW/1000Nm, enough to sling it from 0-100km/h in 3.3 seconds and 0-200km/h in 10.8 seconds on its way to a top speed of 312km/h.

Unsurprisingly for a Performante, the “peak” Urus looks a whole lot angrier than the standard SE which it also happens to weigh 32kg less than (2473kg).
The design was meant to look meaner (of course), but the primary goal was to increase cooling for the monstrous powertrain and aid downforce, the latter element working in tandem with the dual-camber air suspension, 6D sensor and Integrated Power Brake (IPB) control unit.
The combination makes the Urus SE Performante the most technologically advanced Urus to date as well as the most capable as it can predict outcomes of driver inputs, adjust its suspension, steering, roll, traction and stability controls and myriad other parameters accordingly rather than simply react.

Naturally, all the chassis components are all stiffer and or beefier, unlike the braking hardware which is pretty much the same as on the SE (save for the IPB, retuned ABS and bigger cooling ducts).
The front and rear tracks have also been widened by 16mm.
The whole package rolls on 23-inch wheels, but another of the Performante’s USPs is its new ‘Rally’ drive mode that’s been “specifically calibrated to deliver maximum driving excitement on loose surfaces” – thereby tapping further into its SUV identity.
Most of the weight saving has been accomplished through the use of lightweight body panels and the IPB, but the interior plays its part too with Corsa Tex by Dinamica technical trim (suede upholstery), a new steering wheel and plenty of carbon-fibre.
Local pricing or even an ETA for the Urus SE Performante is yet to be announced at the time of writing, but we’d expect to see a couple of the big beasties on the road either late this year or early next.
While pitched as the ultimate Urus, Lamborghini executives have confirmed the Performante won’t be the last of its generation, hinting that there’ll be a couple of special edition follow-ups coming in the next few years before the second generation’s released in 2030.
