Porsche has unveiled the newest member of its lauded GT portfolio: the 2026 Porsche 911 GT3 S/C. Essentially a convertible GT3, the S/C will ship exclusively with two seats, a six-speed manual transmission, a fabric roof and a 375kW450Nm 4.0-litre flat six-cylinder engine that revs to 9000rpm.

Built using lightweight construction derived from the 911 S/T, the GT3 S/C is a convertible GT3 with a bit of extra spice sprinkled on top; pinching the doors, wings, anti-roll bars, shear plate and staggered centre-lock wheels off the limited-run coupe and pairing it with the GT3’s sonorous heart.
A close-ratio six-speed manual is the only transmission available, but the S/C will still up and launch from 0-100km/h in a claimed 3.9 seconds thanks to its 1497kg kerb weight, fat 315/30 R21 rear tyres and 9000rpm redline.
The bonnet, wings, doors, anti-roll bars and shear plate are all carbon fibre, the brakes are carbon-ceramic as standard while the 20-inch front and 21-inch rear wheels are made from magnesium, as are elements of the powered roof mechanism.

A lightweight 40Ah lithium-ion battery further contributes to the weight-saving efforts.
Standard equipment meantime includes four-way adjustable Sports Seats Plus, black leather upholstery, a perforated leather steering wheel, configurable 12.6-inch digital instrument cluster, matrix LED headlights and a 10.9-inch infotainment screen offering wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, sat-nav, DAB+ digital radio and connected services.
Those wanting a more lavish and unique experience can opt for the $58,670 Street Style Package which adds a heap of red exterior graphics, gold brakes, a grey and red interior treatment, Adaptive Sports Seats Plus with tartan centre panels, Race-Tex sun visors, interior mirror console, windscreen frame and headliner, plus an open-pore laminated wood gear knob.

The GT3 S/C is available to order now, with the first customer cars set to arrive later this year.
Unlike the previous-generation Speedster and the 992 S/T, this isn’t a limited-run special edition – it’s a permanent fixture on the 992.2 roster despite being the second-most-expensive 911 variant in the current line-up and more than $140,000 dearer than a GT3 Touring.
