Porsche has unveiled the first electric Macan to don a GTS badge, with the spicy SUV set to arrive early next year with a starting price just over $171k.
The Macan GTS scores the same rear e-motor as the range-topping Turbo which goes a long way in achieving its maximum power outputs of 420kW/955Nm.
Porsche claims 0-100km/h takes just 3.8 seconds with the help of launch control, before pushing past 200km/h in 13.3 seconds on its way to 250km/h.
A peak charging rate of 270kW will see the Macan GTS’s 100kWh battery pack go from 10 to 80 per cent in a claimed 21 minutes; its WLTP driving range is 586km overseas.
A Sport Chrono Package will come as standard on the GTS, adding a track mode and more efficient battery cooling system, thereby minimising power loss caused by heat build-up.
Outside, the GTS sits 10mm lower than its stablemates on sports-tuned air suspension, and brings redesigned side skirts with black accents, a pronounced diffuser panel, tinted head- and tail lights, and grey 21-inch alloys.
Porsche says the new Sport Design Package, which essentially blacks out a host of exterior styling elements and comes standard on GTS, will be made available to the entire Macan line-up in early 2026. It also adds redesigned front and rear aprons.
Locally examples will come fitted with a range of standard features not included in some other markets, including a panoramic roof, digital radio, tinted windows, automatically dimming interior and exterior mirrors, Bose premium sound system, quad-zone climate control and some additional colour options: Crayon, Carmine Red and Lugano Blue (a first for Macan).
Driver aids, including lane change assist, park assist, and adaptive cruise control also come as standard.
?Order books for the Macan GTS are open now with the first examples due to be delivered in the first quarter of 2026.
