The 2026 Renault Megane E-Tech has been comprehensively updated in Europe with a new look, more technology, faster charging and a longer driving range, the latter two thanks to a new 67kWh LFP battery.

Expected – but not confirmed – to arrive in Australia sometime next year, the updated Megane E-Tech is marginally slower than its predecessor from 0-100km/h (7.6s vs 7.4s) but ups the ante with 46km more WLTP range and 35kW more DC charging power.
The new battery pack is the centrepiece of the update and key to everything: the extra range, faster charging and the new design, which sees the Megane E-Tech stand 20mm taller than before (to accommodate the new battery).
With so many upgrades, it was only fitting the technology suite was modernised as well.

The five-door French crossover now features one-pedal driving, a heat pump, 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster and a 12-inch multimedia screen, the latter now featuring Google Gemini.
Other new additions include driver recognition, Smart Mode (automatic drive mode selection) and My Rnlt connectivity, plus upgrades to the intelligent adaptive cruise control, emergency stop assist, predictive eco driving advice and Safety Score, Safety Coach and Safety Monitor functions.
The new Megane E-Tech will be released in Europe later this year and is scheduled to land Down Under in the first half of 2027, with pricing and specifications to be announced closer to its arrival.
