The 2026 Toyota GR GT has made an unscheduled appearance in a surprise new teaser video just days out from its global reveal, and it’s not wearing any camo.

The Finer Details
Looking as low and wide as in all its previous teasers, the previewed GR GT sounds raucous and angry compared to the soulful LFA it hammers past on a high-speed bowl before slowing up and formation cruising with its forebearers.
Touted as the third chapter of the Toyota Group’s halo cab-back coupe lineage, the GR GT will also serve as the launch pad for Gazoo Racing’s entry into the world of GT3, replacing the ancient but still surprisingly competitive Lexus RC F GT3.
The teaser clip doesn’t reveal much beyond what we’ve already seen in recent spy shots – the shadowy framing and time of day combining with the GT’s black paint to mask the finer details of its design.
The Road Ahead
All will be revealed on December 5 when the model finally makes its official debut ahead of its 2026 release.
Toyota Australia trademarked the GR GT nameplate more than 18 months ago, suggesting the new halo coupe is likely bound for local showrooms – positioned above the retiring Supra and serving as a far more aggressive alternative to the magnificent Lexus LC.
