Lorbek Luxury Cars has been appointed the official retailer for the Pininfarina Battista in Australia and New Zealand.
Dubbed as the most powerful road-legal car ever produced in Italy and faster than a Formula 1 racer, the all-electric hypercar boasts outputs of 1416kW and 2300Nm thanks to an electric motor at each wheel.
The Pininfarina Battista is claimed to hit 100km/h in less than two seconds and production is limited to just 150 units, allocated equally between North America, Europe and the Middle East and Asia (including Australia).
The Melbourne-based exotic car dealership this week announced its partnership with Automobili Pininfarina, for which it will be the Italian EV maker’s official local sales and service provider.
Lorbek Bespoke general manager told carsales that four examples of the Battista have been secured for the Australian and New Zealand market, but it’s not yet known when they will arrive.
“We originally anticipated arrival [of the Battista] by the end of next year, but now due to COVID that’s been pushed back to 2022,” he said.
So far, none have been spoken for in Australia, where pricing is still a grey area, with Baker estimating each will sell for upwards of £1.95 million ($A3.5m).
To support the release of the Pininfarina Battista and other EVs, Lorbek Luxury Cars founder Srecko Lorbek has also partnered with GET Electric and Electric Automotive Australia.
