The 2025 Lamborghini Fenomeno is the latest model to be born out of the Italian supercar brand’s ‘Few Off’ program, designed to have billionaire car collectors battling furiously for the 29 examples to be built.
Revealed at Pebble Beach, the Fenomeno – ‘phenomenal’ in both Italian and Spanish – is based on the Revuelto supercar, following in the tyre treads of the Murcielago-based Reventon and Aventador-based Veneno, Centenario, Sian and Countach.
It celebrates 20 years of Lamborghini’s Centro Stile design centre and, according to CEO Stephan Winkelmann, “is the few-off that, more than any other in Lamborghini’s history, introduces innovative technical solutions to make the driving experience truly unique”.
While based on the Revuelto, the Fenomeno’s bespoke long-tail design makes it 67mm longer and 43mm wider than its donor car.
At the front there are large air intakes inspired by the Huracan GT3, while the daytime running light signature pays homage to the horns of the bull on the Lamborghini badge.
Speaking of, the Fenomeno debuts the firm’s revised logo.
New doors improve the efficiency of the side air intakes by 30 per cent compared to any series production Lamborghini and airflow is carefully managed over the top of the car, channelled through the front S-duct and over the concave roof to the air scoop on the rear engine cover.
Turbine design wheels now use single central nuts and are staggered at 21 inches front and 22 inches rear, shod with Bridgestone Potenza Sport run-flat tyres measuring 265/30 and 355/25 respectively.
At the Fenomeno’s heart is the same plug-in hybrid powertrain as the Revuelto, but with modifications to both the internal combustion engine and electric systems.
Valvetrain revisions extract an extra 8kW from the 6.5-litre V12 for a maximum of 615kW/725Nm, with a rev ceiling of 9500rpm and 80 per cent of peak torque available from 3500rpm.
A new 7kWh battery feeds the trio of electric motors for a combined total of 795kW – 48kW more than the Revuelto – making the Fenomeno the most powerful and fastest Lamborghini ever produced.
Despite a hefty dry weight of 1771kg, acceleration from 0-100km/h takes just 2.4 seconds, 0-200km/h 6.7 seconds while the top speed is well beyond 350km/h.
Manually adjustable racing dampers replace the Revuelto’s adaptive units for greater control and new braking technology – with monstrous carbon-ceramic discs measuring 420mm in diameter at the front and 410mm at the rear – improves stopping power and increases service life.
The Fenomeno also debuts a new 6D vehicle dynamics sensor which, as the name suggests, measures lateral, longitudinal and vertical acceleration as well as pitch, roll and yaw.
It feeds this information to the Integrated Vehicle Estimator that uses an algorithm to not only understand what the car is currently doing but predict what it’s likely to do next.
This enables it to support the driver by adjusting the engine response, braking system, electric motors, stability control and more.
No pricing has been announced for the Fenomeno, but it will easily stretch into seven figures, especially with the 29 cars likely to be heavily personalised through Lamborghini’s Ad Personam program, with over 400 exterior and almost limitless interior colours to choose from.
