The story of Tucson Prime, a stray dog adopted by a Hyundai dealership in Brazil has gone viral (the good kind) and it is exactly the heart-warming story the world needs right now.
Tucson (named after the top-selling car by his new owners) is a stray dog who earlier this year was seen every day hanging around outside the Prime Hyundai car dealership in Brazil by the staff.
Instead of ignoring him and not thinking anything about it, the employees gave the young pup what he was after, some love and attention. After a particularly rainy night in May, showroom manager Emerson Mariano took the dog home with him, bathed, fed and gave him a name, Tucson Prime.
The grateful pooch quickly made friends with the dealership’s employees as well as their customers. Tucson was made an honorary employee complete with his very own ID card, which is handy to let customers know he isn’t a stray anymore.
According to website World of Buzz, the one-year-old pup has just been promoted to a car salesman and can be seen guarding the Hyundai showroom daily.
Although his adoption was in May, the story of the little pup-who-could, became a social media sensation when Hyundai Brazil shared the touching story on their Instagram page.
"The new member is about a year old, was welcomed by the #Hyundai family and has already won over co-workers and customers." The post reads.
Tucson Prime is becoming a bit of an Instagram star himself having his very own account, which in a little over a month has acquired over 98,000 followers. Photos on his page include him working hard to earn a living by attending meetings, answering phone calls, greeting customers and receiving some belly rubs. It won't take too long for the pup to become the star employee selling the most Hyundais in the country.
This is not the first time a stray animal has turned up to a workplace and found a new home in Brazil. Last year a stray kitten walked into the Order of Attorneys of Brazil building looking for shelter from a storm and instantly won over many of the employees. The cat, named Dr Leon was soon hired by the firm and given its very own ID card.
