Honda has announced that its Thai-built Accord sedan will now offer buyers side-curtain airbags across the range. Commencing with the 2010 model year range, the entry-level Accord VTI gains the passive safety feature to align with the other variants in the range.
The enhanced safety feature is the most prominent change to the Accord specification for the new year, but the entire range arrives here with some other tweaks also. VTi-L and V6L variants now come with a facility to open windows and sunroof from the remote central locking key, in order to maintain cabin ambient temperature at a satisfactory level on hot days. All variants gain new air conditioning controls for easier use.
Honda appears also to have dropped the lower-grade Accord V6 from the line-up, leaving the V6L as the only Accord to offer the VCM engine for the new model year. Prices remain $32,490 for the VTi, $38,990 for the VTi-L and $49,990 for the V6 Luxury.
