Added equipment for Focus
Ford pegs prices for small car range, but drops in more kitEmergency Assistance is a new feature available as standard across the Focus range.
It's the major change in Ford's small car range, but individual variants are upgraded in other ways too.
At entry level the Focus Ambiente gains reverse-parking sensors and the Focus Trend now features as standard dual-zone climate control and the formerly optional Convenience Pack, which comprises auto headlights, rain-sensing wipers, electro-chromatic rear-view mirror and follow-me-home headlight function.
For the Focus Sport, new standard equipment consists of keyless entry and engine-start button, while the flagship Focus Titanium earns itself a tilt/slide power sunroof.
All changes are introduced at no extra cost. In fact, the change of status for the Focus Titanium sunroof has resulted in a price decrease for the Sports Executive Pack – which used to include the sunroof – from $2300 to $1200. Prices remain at $20,290 for the Focus Ambiente manual, rising to $36,490 for the Focus Titanium diesel.
"We are always looking at ways to make sure our customers are getting features they want and desire," said Ford Australia Vice President of Marketing, Sales and Service, Graeme Whickman, as quoted in a press release.
"These added features will ensure Focus remains a key consideration among prospective buyers.
"With its efficient, yet powerful engines, Ford SYNC™ connectivity and 5-star ANCAP crash rating, the Focus has exactly what our customers expect of a compact hatch and sedan."
