AIMS: Walkinshaw Performance Series II SuperUte

Melbourne-based Walkinshaw Performance set to rip the covers off its Series II SuperUte at the Australian International Motor Show

One of the "must sees" for performance aficionados at this year's Australian International Motor Show is the Walkinshaw Performance stage.

Walkinshaw Performance debuted its Commodore SS-based Series II SuperUte today, the brute ute featuring a long list of go-fast parts from the extensive WP catalogue.

Of note, the Series II SuperUte includes a WP230 supercharger system – the same fitted to motoring.com.au's recently tested Series II SuperCar – SuperSport steel cat headers, three-inch polished stainless steel exhaust system and Bilstein suspension package.

Visually, the Series II SuperUte is identified by 'Black Edition' billet exhaust tips, WPP.1 20-inch forged alloy wheels, WP 'Carbon' Sport Van canopy treatment, WP 'V' scoop on the bonnet and, inside the cabin, unique leather upholstery.

"This car is set to become a Walkinshaw Performance fan favourite," said Walkinshaw Performance sales manager, Tony Harris.

"You'll have to come to the stand to see it up close, but let's just say it's a Holden SS Commodore Ute with many WP goodies- including our supercharger kit, a very cool canopy with a carbon Sport Van rear door, special leather interior and many, many parts from the WP menu."

The Series II SuperUte shares the WP stage with a genuine, straight-from-the-track V8 Supercar, as driven by Bundaberg Racing star Fabian Coulthard.

Coulthard will be joined on the Walkinshaw stage tonight by fellow Bundaberg Racing driver Cameron McConville. The duo followed on Saturday and Sunday by V8 Supercar driver Nick Percat.

As well as the visiting stars, the Walkinshaw Performance stand will be manned by WP staff members happy to discuss your V8 Commodore's performance needs.
