Airbag compatible bull bars for BT-50

Mazda's new commercial utility to be offered from launch with a range of ADR compatible accessories, including an airbag-compatible bull bar

Mazda Australia will offer a wide range of locally-built genuine accessories for its new BT-50 when the model goes on sale here later this year.

Key among the list are two airbag-compatible bull bars Mazda engineers have designed specifically to meet ADRs.

The bars' construction has been the subject of thorough testing, each subjected to over 2000 hours of salt spray testing which Mazda says is the equivalent of 50 years of average customer use.

Available in both a polished aluminium and a powder coated black finish, the bull bars will eventually form part of an extensive accessories range.

Both options will be fully airbag compliant having undergone multiple crash test scenarios. They also offer mounting points for driving lights and antennae.

The accessories range is also set to include a custom sports bar, front nudge bar and side steps.
