Ali Lawrence began writing about cars in 2018, fresh from her studies at Macleay College in NSW, with a penchant for race cars and a love of driving making a career in motoring the perfect fit. She grew up racing go-karts and has dabbled in mechanical courses over the years, but today spends her weekends racing in a one-make Nissan Pulsar series with her dad. She’s also turning a $600 Ford AU Falcon she bought online at auction into a drift car.

I attempt to inject humour and a fresh, fun approach to all stuff automotive. Some days I write breaking news and other days I’m breaking camera gear in a bid to tell you everything you auto know about the cars Aussies are buying (and the ones they’re not).

Mk2 Ford Escort
A clapped-out (and currently unregistered) AU soon-to-be-drift-pig Ford Falcon and my race car, an N14 Nissan Pulsar
Another Ford Escort, probably another Mk2 but would settle for a Mk1. Would really love a BMW M2 Competition as well.
Circuit racing, when the car is ready, plus a little doggy takes up a lot of my time; if he’s not sitting on my lap, he’s in his car seat on the way to our next adventure…
