New for the DT model, it now also features a 48V e-Torque mild hybrid system that improves fuel economy by supplying an additional 12kW via its integrated belt generator that allows for more effortless acceleration away from a standstill, extended use of the MDS when driving and a seamless auto stop-start system when stationary.

To further reduce fuel consumption, the RAM 1500’s sleek new body panels make it the most aerodynamic vehicle in its class. This is further enhanced by active front grille shutters that can limit air flow to the radiator when the engine is cool to reduce drag.

As a result, the RAM 1500 Laramie is an immensely capable machine in any environment – whether it’s being used as a tool of the trade or trailering the caravan or boat around the country.

For starters, it offers a class-leading 4.5-tonne maximum braked towing capacity and its 5.7” tray, which comes standard with a spray-in bed liner and is large enough to carry a full-size Australian pallet, with room to spare.

The RAM 1500 can be also had with either a standard, style-side tray or with the optional RamBox® configuration that provides clever lockable storage compartments on either side big enough to securely house tools, sporting equipment or even be filled with ice and drinks at the campsite.

Plus, the RAM 1500 has a smart four-wheel drive transmission, limited slip rear differential, generous ground clearance and entry/departure angles that ensures it can not only conquer any boat ramp but it travel well off the beaten track to boot.
