Aston Martin to create garage of your dreams

British sports car maker's designers to help owners display and store their car collection

Aston Martin's bespoke Q division has launched a new service to help its owners create their dream garage or storage facility.

Revealing the Automotive Galleries and Lairs department at the Pebble Beach Concours d'Elegance in California, the Q division hopes its wealthiest owners will take advantage of the car-maker's in-house design consultancy service.

As well as garages and storage, Aston Martin says its new sub-division overseen by Q will eventually design and create entire homes, thanks to a partnership with 'well-known' architects.

Previewing some of the wild and unusual projects the division is capable of, Aston Martin released details and pictures of a garage it has designed in co-operation with Obermoser architects.

The car gallery unveiled looks like something evil genius Lex Luther might own, placing the forthcoming Valkyrie in an underground cave surrounded by a circular fish tank and giving the impression Aston's $4.5 million hypercar has been submerged.

Another image shown off by Q presents the Valkyrie in a glass room overlooking a mountainous landscape.

At the launch of the new sub-division, Aston Martin chief creative officer Marek Reichman said:

"Picture creating the ultimate space to showcase your own automotive works of art. This is now achievable with this new offering.

"For the car enthusiast the garage is as important as the rest of the house and a bespoke auto gallery designed by Aston Martin that either focuses on showing off the car or is part of a larger, integrated entertainment space with simulators and such like, takes Aston Martin ownership to the next level.”

Aston Martin's design team has already demonstrated its talent by creating the interior design for the 66-storey Aston Martin Residence that will be built in Miami.

The British car-maker says it will also design Aston Martin's forthcoming global brand centre in Tokyo.
