Aston Martin to mark anniversary with limited-run supercar

Still-secret Aston supercar to be produced in 2023 to help celebrate British marque’s 110th birthday

Aston Martin has announced it will celebrate its 110th anniversary with the unwrapping of a new limited-run supercar that will be launched in 2023.

The British marque posted pictures of its 1923 Razor Blade roadster alongside its latest Aston Martin Valkyrie Spider, however no further details were given.

Aston Martin’s Q bespoke division is likely to have been tasked with creating and building the limited-run model, having already produced both the One-77-based Aston Martin Victor and the track-only Vulcan hypercar.

Following the tried-and-tested formula of rebodying an existing-series Aston, the new limited-run supercar could follow on from the recent V12 Speedster that was heavily based on both the DB11, DBS Superleggera and the Vantage roadster.

That said, the huge complexity of producing either a reclothed Valkyrie or upcoming Valhalla in drag is unlikely, but not impossible.

This year will be a busy one for the British car-maker as it will introduce updated versions of the Vantage, DB11 and DBS.

Aston should begin teasing the new model soon, but when and where the supercar will be revealed remains uncertain.

Aston Martin is planning a year-long celebration of its 110th year of car-making with commemorative events to be held at the British Grand Prix, Pebble Beach and the Goodwood Festival of Speed.
