Aston Martin has signalled it will end production of its Vanquish with a final 'Ultimate' special-edition version of the V12 coupe and Volante convertible.
Based on the most powerful Vanquish S, both versions will come with the mighty 444kW/630Nm 5.9-litre V12 that channels power to the rear wheels via an eight-speed automatic transmission.
That means the final Ultimate edition will hit 100km/h in just 3.5 seconds and top out at 324km/h.
Limited to just 175 cars worldwide, the final models will be available in just three exterior colour and interior combinations -- the first blends black paint with bronze accents outside and black and tan leather inside.
The second combines grey paint with cobalt blue graphics and yellow and blue highlights while inside there's grey leather.
The final paint and leather theme mixes white paint, more bronze accents and throws in a tan hide interior.
As a no-cost option, customers can even mix and match any Ultimate exterior colour with any of the special-edition interiors.
All feature carbon-fibre side strakes, rose gold 'Ultimate' decals, carbon-fibre tread-plates, a special commemorative plaque inside and embroidered 'Ultimate' head restraints.
With the ending of production of both the Vantage and Vanquish, Aston Martin will cease production of the naturally-aspirated V12 that is built by Ford in Cologne.
The Vanquish will also mark the end of the car-maker's use of the aluminium VH platform.
Its replacement, set to arrive early next year, will be based on an all-new bonded aluminium structure that underpins the DB11.
The next Vanquish is also expected to use a more powerful derivative of the car-maker's 'downsized' 5.2-litre twin-turbo V12 that produces 447kW/700Nm in the DB11.
Vanquish S Ultimate deliveries, meanwhile, are set to begin around March 2018.
Pricing in the UK begins at £211,995 ($A367,000) for the coupe and £233,995 ($A405,000) for the coupe.
