ASV releases dressed-up RAM 2500 Code Black
Limited-edition model gets the 'black ops' treatment for off-road fansAmerican Special Vehicles has announced a limited-edition model based on the RAM 2500 pick-up.
Named the RAM 2500 Code Black, the new variant is priced from $149,500 and features matt black elements such as grille and wheel arch flares to distinguish it from the standard model.
The 18-inch wheels of the standard RAM are replaced with 20-inch alloys wrapped in Nitto 'Terra Grappler' 275/65 R20 all-terrain tyres. According to ASV, the tyres perform well off the road, but are also quiet and comfortable on bitumen.
Mechanically, the RAM 2500 Code Black shares with the standard model its 6.7-litre Cummins turbo-diesel engine, six-seat capacity, and comfort and convenience features.
Boasting engine output of 276kW and 1084Nm, the Code Black model can tow up to 6942kg, in the right towing configuration.
As for the standard RAM 2500, the Code Black variant is covered by a three-year/100,000km warranty and can be serviced at dealers around the country.
