Audi Australia has announced a new aftersales program that can extend a new model’s factory warranty out to a maximum of nine years, along with nine years of capped-price servicing and roadside assistance.
Officially dubbed Audi Advantage, the program revolves around a series of optional two-year packages which can be either purchased at the same time as the vehicle or further into the ownership and come into effect once the standard five-year warranty period has expired, providing owners with an extra two or four years of coverage.
Audi says the program has been designed “to provide an unmatched level of confidence in the Australian market”.

It is transferable between owners and can also be applied to Audi models that are less than eight years old and have covered less than 120,000km.
Provided the eligible vehicle has been maintained to the manufacturer’s specifications with a complete service history and passes a 115-point inspection, the packages can be purchased and applied even if the standard warranty has elapsed.
“In designing this program, we wanted to ensure that Audi owners are the envy of the Australian premium market,” said Volkswagen Group Australia chief Paul Sansom.
“Not only did we want to provide a program that gives our owners complete confidence in their vehicle for an extended period of time, but one that also secures the value of their investment, should they decide to trade-up to a newer model in the future.
“We believe the Audi Advantage program provides the ultimate in peace-of-mind for premium vehicle owners in Australia.”

Skoda Australia offered a similar program last year – albeit temporarily – in which customers could purchase an extended seven-year capped-price servicing and warranty bundle.
The catch was it was only available until December 31 last year, whereas the Audi Advantage program is a permanent fixture.
Prices for the packages start from $2700 for the Audi A1 and are available for almost every model, including the Audi R8. The only exception is the Audi e-tron family.
