Audi apprentices stretch A3 cabriolet

Students at German car-maker’s HQ build weird A3 cab with eight seats, six doors

Audi Germany has revealed a bizarre A3 Cabriolet that has been modified by its apprentices to incorporate three rows of seats and six doors.

Said to showcase the skill of its this year’s crop of apprentices, the extra-long-wheelbase A3 Cabriolet seats eight and has zero chances of ever being produced, but does show the inherent strength of the Volkswagen’s MQB platform, even when it’s been butchered.

It’s not known if the talented bunch of engineers were also able to fabricate a full-size folding roof but the new car is said to be driveable and will be used in future for publicity purposes.
