Join the ‘Slow TV’ craze at home with these road trip adventures

With Aussies confined indoors, Slow TV is an interesting way for us to reconnect with the open road right from our lounge rooms.

The Slow TV crazy has been around since the 2000s where it started off in Norway with a televised 7 hour train journey. Since then there have been many other minute-by-minute films from trains to boats, chocolate factories to even knitting competitions.

Recently, Audi Australia published their version called 'The Drive', which is a 4 hour long slow TV film that allows viewers to experience the soothing nature of a long road trip from the confines of their own home. The red Audi A6 even heads up Mount Panorama for a calm and soothing loop of the famed Aussie race track.

So grab some road trip snacks, compile your own road trip playlist and press play on one of these 10 videos. You’ll be back to the good life of seeing Australia and the world in no time. The best part is that you don’t even have to stop at those ghastly road-side toilets for a break either.
