Audi launches 'Exclusive Line'

Audi has launched Exclusive Line equipment packages on selected models across its range.

The special interior equipment packages will be available for the A3, A4 and A6 models. It is the first time the packages have been made available for Australian customers.

Designed by Audi's subsidiary quattro GmbH, according to Audi, the packages have been based on the most popular customisation requests "to offer individual and exclusive solutions, using the highest quality materials."

The new packages offer standard or sports seats in leather with a range of colour combinations (including rear seats), contrasting stitching in the steering wheel and gear lever gaiter, special inlays, headlining and colour-matched floor mats.

Prices for the Exclusive Line packages range from $3500-7000 depending on the model.

Exclusive Line packages are available on: A3 3-door 2.0 FSI tiptronic; A3 Sportback 2.0 FSI, 2.0 TDI, 2.0 TFSI and 3.2 DSG; A4 sedan and Avant 2.0 multitronic, 2.0 TDI, 1.8T, 2.0 TFSI, 2.0 TDI and 3.2 FSI; and A6 sedan and Avant 2.4, 3.0 TDI, 3.2 FSI and 4.2.

In other Audi news the company is releasing Cabriolet and Avant versions of the RS4. The fastest open-top Audi ever has 313kW on tap and shares the RS family face. The electro-hydraulic hood can be opened automatically in 21 seconds, and can be operated at up to speeds of 30km/h. Leather-upholstered sports seats, 18-inch cast aluminium wheels, and 'concert radio system' come standard.

Audi says its RS4 Avant model's rear "interior design and multifunctionality set new standards in this class", offering a variable load area floor that can be opened wholly or in part, or removed altogether. Load-carrying features also include a net for small items and lashing points in the rear for cargo.

Audi has reduced the ride height of both the Audi RS 4 Avant and the saloon -- now 30 millimetres lower than the standard A4 -- and the track of both axles has been widened. Audi claims that the car now "sits more unwaveringly on the road" as a result, and handles better.
