Audi R8 Spyder 4.2 FSI confirmed
Australia set to receive Audi's 316kW R8 convertible from $300,400A new variant will join Audi’s flagship sportscar range this June when the 4.2-litre FSI-powered R8 Spyder arrives Down Under.
Hot on the heels of the R8 Spyder 5.2 FSI quattro, the new variant outputs 316kW/430Nm which propels it from 0-100km/h in just 4.8 seconds, and on to a top speed of 300km/h. The engine is married to a choice of six-pseed manual or R tronic sequential manual transmission with quattro all-wheel drive as standard.
Available by special customer order, the first customer deliveries are expected in mid-2012.
Pricing starts from $300,400 for the manual variant and $316,400 for the self-shifter. Equipment levels are on par with those found in the corresponding R8 4.2 FSI Coupe.
