Audi reintroduces Dynamic Black special-edition SUVs

Audi Australia has reintroduced four of its limited-run Dynamic Black special-edition SUVs after the initial batch last year attracted far more consumer demand than expected.

Focussed on two of the German luxury auto brand’s best-selling models, the returning special-editions comprise two Q3 and two Q5 variants, specifically the 2024 Audi Q3 35 TFSI Dynamic Black, Q3 Sportback 35 TFSI Dynamic Black, Q5 35 TDI Dynamic Black and Q5 45 TFSI quattro Dynamic Black.

Unsurprisingly, pricing for all four variants has increased since their last appearance in Australian showrooms – the Q3s by more than $3000 and the Q5s by more than $4900, with prices now starting from $61,100 and $76,200 plus on-road costs respectively.

Perhaps more relevantly, each Dynamic Black model carries a price premium of between $2800-$6500 over their standard counterparts.

Little has changed about the Dynamic Black recipe, however. All vehicles wear a series of black exterior features and metallic paint, and their cabins have been spruced up with some exclusive standard additions.

For the Q3s, these include black badging, grille treatment, mirror caps and roof rails (SUV only), grey 19-inch alloys, heated wing mirrors, rear privacy glass, metallic/pearlescent paint and colour-matched bumpers for the exterior.

The interior, meantime, in headlined by heated and power-adjustable seats, aluminium trim, ambient lighting, a 10-speaker premium sound system and 360-degree camera.

It’s a similar story for the Q5s, although it adds bigger matte-black 20-inch wheels.

And the higher-grade 45 TFSI quattro Dynamic Black gets more out of the makeover, including red brake callipers, ‘design selection’ interior and extended upholstery package.

“We are pleased to be bringing back Dynamic Black for two of our most popular models as a really impactful value add for our customers,” said Audi Australia product planning manager Peter Strudwicke.

“The 2024 Audi Q3 and Q5 SUV Dynamic Black range takes the finest elements of our two most popular models and completely ramps up their presence and appeal for a small increase to their original base price.”

There are no mechanical changes for the Dynamic Black vehicles and it’s unclear how many examples of each variant will be available in Australia.
