Audi Australia has confirmed the 2023 Audi RS Q3 Sportback ‘edition 10 years’ will be available Down Under with a local asking price of $102,900 plus on-road costs, making it $2800 more expensive than the standard high-performance small SUV.
Despite being a special-edition, Audi says it will have “healthy supplies” of the 10-year edition, first local deliveries of which will take place in the second quarter of this year.
Designed to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the Audi RS Q3, the edition 10 years brandishes a heap of cosmetic and interior upgrades over the standard RS Q3 and pairs them with the German brand’s formidable 294kW/480Nm five-cylinder turbo-petrol engine.
The sonorous mill hasn’t been given any tweaks or upgrades for this latest application, but with a claimed 0-100km/h time of 4.5 seconds it’s not as if it needed any.
Instead, the visual enhancements revolve around specific black 21-inch alloy wheels and black brake callipers, wing mirrors and badging, which contrast against the Dew Silver (matte) or Chronos Grey (metallic) body colours, the latter of which is reserved exclusively for the special-edition.
The former, meanwhile, is being added to the RS Q3’s available paint colour palette.
Inside the cabin you’ll find a new set of manually-adjustable carbon-fibre RS bucket seats – a first for the RS Q3 – upholstered in a black leather-microfibre combination and contrasting with copper-coloured honeycomb stitching.
RS logos adorn the neck area of the backrest while the seat backs are matte carbon-fibre, a finish mirrored by the decorative matte carbon trim inlays throughout the cabin.
Three-stage seat heating is included as standard, as are edition-specific illuminated door sill trims that project a red 3D rhombus onto the ground when the doors are opened.
Other equipment highlights include an Alcantara-clad steering wheel and gear selector, RS Q3 floor mats, seven-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission, launch control and RS-spec quattro all-wheel drive system.
“This special-edition pays great tribute to the best of SUV performance in the RS Q3 Sportback,” said Audi Australia director Jeff Mannering.
“Australia as a market is so performance-focused, and I have no doubt that owners will enjoy exclusive RS touches in this limited-edition model.”
The brand hasn’t confirmed exactly how many examples of the RS Q3 Sportback edition 10 years are up for grabs in Australia, but we do know the global production run is only for 555 units – meaning it’ll almost certainly be less than 100 units earmarked for our market.
