A quarter of a century since it first went on sale, Audi has announced it is launching the 2023 Audi TT Final Edition to mark the end of production of its iconic coupe and roadster.
Both models will come with Audi’s black styling pack as standard, including a dark-coloured spoiler, door mirrors and exhaust outlets, plus black rollover hoops and wind diffuser if you opt for the roadster.
The new Audi TT Final Edition will be available in Europe in base 180kW TT or sportier 210kW TT S forms, but the mighty 294kW TT RS won’t get the special-edition treatment.
Inside the cabin, fresh TT Final Edition touches include an extended leather pack, a steering wheel wrapped in Alcantara, red stitching on the seats and red piping for the floor mats.
Buyers will also get Audi’s Tech Pack as standard, adding sat-nav and the German car-maker's connected services.
The more expensive Audi TT S Final Edition, meanwhile, throws in both the Comfort Pack and Sound Pack, adding a premium sound system, reversing camera and parking aids.
For now, the Audi TT Final Edition is only being offered in the UK, where pricing kicks off at £41,910 ($A72,000) for the 40 TFSI coupe and rises to £56,435 ($A98,400) for the TT S Roadster.
It's not yet known whether Audi Australia has any plans to give the TT the same send-off here, but it had better be quick if so because production of the TT reportedly ends later this year.
The UK’s Final Edition follows the confirmation of the Audi TT RS Iconic Edition special last October, just 100 examples of which will be made available in Europe – but not Australia.
First introduced in Europe in 1998, the Audi TT has spanned three generations over 25 years, with the latest incarnation introduced back in 2014.
Instead of replacing it directly, the TT will morph into a sporty all-electric SUV, potentially previewed by the coupe-style Audi Activesphere crossover concept.
