Audi has released a teaser image of an all-new concept dubbed the Audi Activesphere that’s believed to preview the replacement for the current Audi TT sports car.
The shadowy image released over the weekend clearly reveals an overtly sporting coupe-crossover, the production version of which is expected to reach the market in 2023.
The fourth ‘Sphere’ concept released from the German brand, Audi has not released any information on the Activesphere other to say that it comes with a pure-electric powertrain and will be “capable of automated driving”.

Thanks to its autonomous tech, the Activesphere will allow occupants – including the driver – to use their time “productively or just relax”, Audi says, hinting that the production version could come with Level 3 hands- and eyes-off-the-road driverless tech.
When introduced, the Activesphere could share much with the next-generation all-electric Porsche Macan.
It’s likely to be based on the Volkswagen Group’s latest PPE architecture that can package a large 120kWh battery for a range of up to 724km.
The most powerful dual-motor versions of the Audi (and Porsche) are expected to pump out as much as 520kW, ensuring the all-wheel drive Activesphere could spin off an RS version with supercar levels of performance.
To date, Audi has also unveiled the Grandsphere, which looks like an A8-sized stretched Audi TT with a lounge-style cabin, the Urbansphere minivan and the shape-shifting Skysphere that can shrink its wheelbase by 250mm at a touch of a button.
